As I restart the blog in 2019, reflecting on 2018 is a good place to begin.
- Finished classes and took comprehensive exams for a Masters in Administrative Leadership from The University of Oklahoma. Participated in Commencement in December.
- Threw a 60th Birthday party for my sister in June. Such a joy to celebrate her with all of her friends.
- Volunteered consistently with children’s activities at church including the new after school program.
- Traveled to California for the first time with Randy. Stayed in Huntington Beach and enjoyed seeing the west coach beaches.
- Read 102 books, including textbooks, mysteries, spiritual memoirs, popular fiction, and church growth books.
- Participated in an examination of racially diversity and the church.
- Said good-bye to our precious dog, Bella.
- Attended my first live podcast with my husband, sister, and friend in Dallas.
- Cheered on the Thunder at several basketball games.
- Returned to OU’s Memorial Stadium for a football game as a graduate.
- Tried new restaurants around Oklahoma City. Favorites include Torchy’s, Gogi Go Korean BBQ, The Kitchen at Commonplace, and The Jones Assembly.
- Headed South in October to our favorite spot in Pensacola. Pensacola Beach has great restaurants and a few nights we traveled into town for dinner. Most of the time was spent watching the water spread to the horizon.
- Visited our friends in Nashville and Little Rock.
- Spent time in the Fall exploring new creative expressions.
- Walked over 1200 miles throughout the year.
